Caroline Isautier has been asked to manage a workshop on digital citizenship for teens at the 20/20 Canadian Safe Schools conference February 24, 2017 in Toronto, Canada. She’s created a teen-friendly acronym and animation to help communicate four principles of a smart use of social media like Snap, Instagram and Facebook.
In a SNAP, here’s what it stands for:
S is for Switch if off regularly
N is for : do the Nana test. What would she say if she saw it?
A is for acknowledge you’re hooked on today’s cigarettes: social media!
P is for prioritize activities in the real world: friends, family, leisure, sports and work.
Make it Snap IT and you’re fully covered as a smart digital citizen and a teen:
I for Invest in yourself, not Snap
T for Take the pledge to reduce a social media addiction with friends and family.
